This opportunity would mean identifying technicians that meet the listed requirements below, complete and pass a background check, complete an online, self-paced training set of modules (estimated 2 hours total), obtain and maintain the required toolkit (listed below), be willing and able to dispatch to job sites on VERY SHORT NOTICE – typically within 24-48 hours, perform the required skills following a very strict checklist, and participate in all pre-brief and post-maintenance calls with the customer. Technician Requirements • At least 1 year of experience working as a technician in data center operations or equivalent environment • At least 1 year of experience in customer service, interacting directly with customers • At least 1 year of experience working with data center equipment, safely handling live hardware, rack building/installation efforts, hot/cold aisles, networking hardware (including cabling, switches, servers), and associated troubleshooting • At least 1 year of experience with layer 1 troubleshooting; including hardware power connectivity, fiber cable, fiber optics, and ethernet connection, logging into IT devices, identifying port status on servers and switches, and link quality verification • At least 1 year of experience with layer 2 troubleshooting; including configuration repairs, software installations, and hardware repairs • At least 1 year of experience reading cut-sheets for physical network installation; identifying port connection locations, positions, and overhead trays for running cables, and relevant patch panels to connect to • At least 6 months of experience in working with power feeds; including redundancy, automatic transfer switches (ATS) • At least 6 months of experience with networking protocols/technologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3) • English language full professional proficiency Kindly note that we have an "Agile ToolKit" that you need to bring if a ticket is assigned to you.
